I am a postdoctoral scholar at NC State University working with Prof. Felix (Phil) N. Castellano. My research uses spectroscopy to track and direct charge localization and spin polarization within light-activated molecules.

I received my Ph.D. from Caltech, where I worked with Prof. Harry B. Gray as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and Caltech Institute Fellow, studying the electronic structure and excited-state dynamics of transition metal complexes. In my graduate studies, I received a DOE SCGSR award and interned at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory where I conducted x-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments with Dr. Amy Cordones-Hahn and Dr. Kelly Gaffney.

My research interests include inorganic photochemistry, ultrafast spectroscopy, photoinduced charge transfer, and molecular design principles for solar energy conversion and quantum information science.

See the Publications page for more information about my research background, and the Research page to learn more about the tools I use and my passion for molecular photophysics.
